Current Planetary Hours
Planetary hours divide the day and night into unequal segments ruled by the seven classical planets. NUMINOS computes the current ruler live based on your timezone and location.
How planetary hours work
The ancient Hermetic system splits sunrise-to-sunset into 12 day hours and sunset-to-sunrise into 12 night hours. Each hour belongs to one of the seven planets in the Chaldean order. The first hour of each day follows the weekday ruler (Sunday→Sun, Monday→Moon, etc.).
Why are planetary hours not 60 minutes long?
Because they divide actual daylight and nighttime into twelfths. Summer daylight hours run long; winter ones run short.

How do I use planetary hours in practice?
Schedule intentions by matching planetary qualities: Jupiter for growth, Venus for love, Mars for courage, Mercury for communication.
Are planetary hours the same as zodiac hours?
No. Planetary hours cycle through the seven classical planets regardless of zodiac sign.
Do planetary hours adjust for my latitude?
Yes. NUMINOS uses your geographic coordinates to compute exact sunrise and sunset.
