Pythagorean System

The Pythagorean system is the most widely used numerological method in the Western world. It assigns numbers 1 through 9 to the letters of the alphabet in sequential order (A=1, B=2, ... I=9, J=1, etc.) and uses the full birth-certificate name for name-based calculations. The system traces its philosophical roots to Pythagoras of Samos, who taught that number is the fundamental principle of all reality.
