Planetary Hour

A planetary hour is a unit of time in the ancient Chaldean and Hermetic timing system. Each day is divided into 24 hours, each governed by one of seven classical planets (Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon) following the Chaldean order. The first hour after sunrise is ruled by the planet that governs the day of the week. The NUMINOS Cosmic Clock calculates and displays the current planetary hour ruler and day ruler in real time. Planetary hours are used in astrology, ceremonial magic, and Hermetic philosophy for timing important activities.
