Nakshatra

A Nakshatra is one of 27 Vedic lunar mansions that divide the sidereal zodiac into equal segments of 13 degrees and 20 minutes each. The Moon passes through one Nakshatra approximately every day, making Nakshatras a natural daily timing indicator. Each Nakshatra has a specific name, a planetary ruler from the Navagraha (nine Vedic planets), and a presiding deity.
